The Road Trip Project is above all a human adventure: a duo of young Europeans embark on a journey across the continent and explore a variety of EU-supported projects and activities.
The Road Trip Project consists of 4 different routes: the Mediterranean Route: A walk through history, the Atlantic Route: Exploration and (re)discovery, the Danube Route: A symbol of unity, and finally the Baltic Route: A Journey through time and space.
The Road Trip travellers shared their experiences through videos, photos and blog posts to an ever-expanding online community, who engaged in discussion, gave recommendations and spotted the van on the road.
The stories from the four routes have reached 30 million people through the social media channels and the website, which is becoming a home of information about Europe and what it has to offer based on the eight travellers’ experiences!
The Road Trip Project is an initiative of the EU’s Regional and Urban Policy department of the European Commission.
EU Regional Policy targets all regions and cities in the European Union in order to boost their economic growth and improve people’s quality of life. It is also an expression of solidarity, focusing support on the less developed regions.
